I filed my 2013 tax return with another tax preparer and it turned out to be a mess. The return was filed incorrectly so I decided not to go back to the same guy to get the issue fixed. Then I got referred to Fractions Tax Service in San Jose by another friend of mine who had filed their tax return here so I decided to give them a call.

Nobody answered the call so I left a message and received a call back within an hour. She made an appointment for me and asked me to come to the office and bring all the paperwork and the incorrect return that was filed. Once I got to the office, I was greeted by Ruby. She pulled out a chair for me and offered me some water which I thought was real nice of her. Then she started chatting it up with me while she looked at my incorrect return that was filed and asked me few other questions before she got started.

She ended up amending my return and to my amazement she got me another $840 in refund. That was great news and it was well worth the money I paid her to amend my return. She did charge me a little more than my last tax preparer but the extra charge was well worth the quality of service provided and the time spent on my tax return. Best of all I did not feel like I was being rushed and all my questions were answered in complete detail. I wish I had gone to her the first time and it would have saved me the hassle. Excellent Service!

I have been doing taxes at Fractions for the last two years and this year I forgot to give her one of the tax forms even though she clearly asked me to make sure I provide her with all tax related paperwork. I started getting letters from irs and they put a hold on my refund until I submitted them with certain paperwork. Ruby helped me take care of it all and even called irs twice on my behalf. So thankful or I would not know what to do. I finally got my refund!!

-I did a walk-in and was greeted by Ruby, she asked me a few question on how i wanted my paper work done, everything was explained to me in detail and very clearly. Ruby had spent extra time since i had an odd case.

-Ruby is a very entertaining person to deal with, ended up spending extra time chatting with her, telling her that I'm going back to school and she gave me a student discount. She was assure me that she would get me the max refund that i could get.

-I felt that Ruby was very professional with her work. I'm definitely coming back here for my tax service next year, and yes i would highly recommend this place to a friend. good service at a competitive price i cant ask for more.
